Save Little Mountain

Little Mountain is a small but significant piece of our natural heritage. Visible from almost anywhere in the city, Little Mountain serves as a vital green space for both wildlife and the local community. This amazing place is under threat from logging. Our mission is to protect this precious ecosystem for future generations.

10 acres on the Northwest flank of the mountain are currently being proposed for logging. This area abuts the park boundary directly below the Bonnie & Clyde's Trail and is directly above the Cedar Hills neighborhood.

Logging this area would destroy the natural beauty of the area and diminish the quality of life for residents who enjoy hiking, biking, and exploring the trails. Additionally, it would potentially increase runoff and destabilize the soil above dozens of homes.

Public comment is a critical part of the decision-making process for the Washington Department of Natural Resources (DNR). Your input can help ensure that the voices of the community are heard and considered in the final decision regarding the proposed logging on Little Mountain.
